Anniversary Kick-Off Celebration
Salem's 100th Anniversary Kick-Off Celebration was held on January 29, 2017 and a great time was had by all. The congregation celebrated with a German-themed potluck luncheon and plenty of good fellowship. The main entrée featured roast pork with sauerkraut.

We are a family of faith known as Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church located off McKinley Parkway at 10 McClellan Circle in South Buffalo. We’re a group of people dedicated to sharing the love of God in Jesus Christ with those around us. We are here to serve you, in Jesus’ name. The word “Salem” means “Peace.” That’s why we are known as “The Church of Peace on the Circle.” We’re trying hard to live up to our name. Lutherans believe that salvation comes through faith alone in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God – not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Furthermore, we also learn in God’s Holy Word that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
