Items Needed

ChristCare “Helping Hands” is collecting…

FOOD and PRODUCTS throughout the year.  They are used to help: City Mission, Cornerstone Manor, Salem Disaster Shelter and needy families. Please place donations in the designated containers.  See the Bulletin for item(s) being collected for the current month.

Golden Agers & the Bible Class are looking for donations of cards...

SYMPATHY AND THINKING of YOU cards are especially needed. Please give to Maxine Ford. 

LWML is collecting…

DO save: empty name brand ink cartridges, ink jet and especially laser jet cartridges (except Epson). Cell phones, pagers, I-Pods, MP3 players, laptop computers, GPS systems, tablets, eReaders, iPads and notebooks. [Please note these do not have to be in working order.]

DON’T save: toner tubes, anything with the words ‘remanufactured’ or ‘refilled’, generic brand name ink cartridges, printers or large computer monitors.

 Please give to Claire Carlson or put in the designated container in the Good Shepherd Room or in the narthex. 

BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION to support Trinity Lutheran School in West Seneca. This is an ongoing project. Please remember to save the Box Top (with expiration date) for the Boxtops for Education. These may be given to Claire Carlson or leave in the designated containers in the Good Shepherd Room or narthex.

CANCELED STAMPS (1 pound of stamps = 1 Bible)
Clip around stamp leaving ¼’ paper around entire stamp. DO NOT remove stamp from paper. Please do not include non-profit or non-canceled stamps. Please give to Julie Diehl or Maxine Ford or leave in the containers in the Good Shepherd room or narthex. 


A green and yellow Paper Retriever Recycling container is located at Salem as a fundraiser for the church. It is located next to the church garage. Please bring all your old magazines, newspapers, catalogs, mail, office and school papers to recycle. Shredded papers in plastic bags are also accepted. If you have any difficulty placing items in the recycling container, please contact any usher on Sundays for assistance.


Donations of home spun yarn are needed. Also, if anyone is interested in making prayer shawls (either knitted or crocheted) please see Christine Johnson (822-1262) for information. Various patterns will be available and this is a very worthwhile ministry.
