Our MOPS is a chapter of MOPS INTERNATIONAL. MOPS is a support group for mothers of young children. They normally meet twice a month.

Undergirding the MOPS program is MOPPETS. This is where volunteer workers care for the children while the moms are meeting for fellowship, a craft, a guest speaker, or whatever is planned for that day.

MOPS is a way we help and strengthen families during these stressful times. MOPS is a Christian organization and gives a significant Christian witness.

Meeting Days:  Thursdays (twice a month)
Time:  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Place: The Peace House (directly across the street from Salem on Whitfield Ave.)
Leader:  Julie Schmidt

Upcoming Meetings:

MOPS is still in need of volunteers to help with the kids for two hours during our meetings. Please consider helping us out for two hours so all of our moms can listen to the speakers. Here is a listing of the upcoming meetings we have. If you could please look at this schedule and consider helping out just once or twice this year, we would greatly appreciate it.

Operation Christmas Child is where we pack the shoeboxes to be sent overseas.  If you would like to participate in this again, it is a wonderful blessing to those children.  There will be boxes for you to take home to fill or you can bring donations in and place them in the box in the Good Shepherd Room and the MOPS moms will pack the boxes.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, the MOPS moms can shop and pack a box for you.  Some items that you can purchase to put in the boxes include:  socks, balls, school supplies, hygiene products (soap, combs, brushes), small toys, soccer ball with a small pump.  Items NOT to put in: anything liquid, no toy guns, no chocolate.  Please check out the Operation Christmas Child website:  www.samaritanspurse.org/occ for more details.

Thank you in advance.  If you have any questions you can ask any of the MOPS moms.
